Full Description

This is an octagonal water tower of 1933. Built generally in red brick with a two metre high flush plinth in a deeper red and blue brick. There is a band at tank floor-level of two courses of blue brick with rendering between them. The pyramidal copper roof has a flag pole/lightening conductor at the apex and the concave soffit under the eaves is probably rendered. Window openings are recessed and bricked up with brick cills, moulded jambs and half round arches with a hood mould on the extrados.<1>
