Full Description

This site was developed in 1938 with a borehole, small storage tanks and a pumping station. This latter structure is L-shaped, built in red brick with a blue brick plinth and an artificial stone dado. The roof is of clay tiles and the gable ends are timbered and plastered. Window bays are recessed in Romanesque style with half-round gauged arches in rubbed bricks. The windows themselves are in wood frames and the main door is set in a bold artificial stone surround. There is a flat-roofed extension to the rear and a house stands beside the site.<1>

A Level 2 Historic Building Record was completed by Leigh Alston in 2017 in order to inform a planning application for conversion.<2>
