Full Description

Evaluation of 6 trenches revealed modern foundations and Victorian soils. One patch of redeposited gravel with Roman pot insitu.<1> <2>
Watching brief in 2004 on land proposed for residential development confirmed the findings of earlier investigations that in most areas there was a 1.5m to 2.0m build-up of recent (19th/2-th century) deposits above the natural clay.<3>
