Full Description

Signpost. Probably early C20. Cast iron. Maldon Ironworks. A circular post with flat semi-circular finial reading PARISH OF TIPTREE E.C.C. STICK NO BILLS. Two arms broken close to column, left arm has letter R remaining. <1>. The flat semicircular parish plate finial is unusual in that the legend is cast on one side only. It reads PARISH OF / INWORTH with E.C.C. / STICK NO BILLS in the middle. A plate reading TIPTREE was bolted in front of INWORTH after parish boundary changes. This plate has largely rusted through. <2>
