Full Description

Leased by Maldon Union from 1912; the site became a scattered home in 1919 (Public Assistance Committee, 1930). The gabled stock brick building is of two-storeys, with a tile roof and faces Church Road. It has an L-shaped plan with large vertical sashes at first-floor level to the frontage; a gabled dormer rises from the roof to the north-east and north-west. The conversion of the building into shops has radically altered the ground-floor layout. <1>.
