Full Description

A low-level aerial photograph taken in 1948 shows a spigot mortar pit with central pedestal, four ammunition alcoves and an L-shaped trench on its W side. It stood on the grass verge on the S side of Cowdray Avenue immediately N of Jarmin Road.<1>

The area is now a grass verge E of the Fire Station.
