Full Description

1:1250 map no. TM0025NW dated 1952 and aerial photographs taken in 1946, 1948, 1960 and 1970 show an hexagonal pillbox with its entrance on the W side. It stood at the N edge of the original brickworks overlooking the R. Colne some 150 yards to the N but was clearly demolished when the present housing development was built as it cannot be seen on a 1980 aerial photograph.<1><2><3><4><5><6>
