Full Description
1:1250 map no. TM0025NW dated 1952 shows the shape of an hexagonal pillbox with its entrance on the SW side. This pillbox can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1946, 1960 and 1970 standing at the side of a meadow overlooking the River Colne but it was clearly demolished when the housing development was built as it cannot be seen on a 1980 aerial photograph.<1><2><3><4><5>
