Full Description

One of the last tangible remains of Alderman Mechi. This is a cast iron direction post with a smooth cylindrical trunk and an acorn motif at the top. There is, and was, only one arm which ended in fingers: the pointing index finger has now broken off. The cast letters read TIPTREE HALL FARM, which was Mechi's property. <1>.

Signpost could not be located, presumably removed sometime between 1971 and 2002. <2>.
