Full Description
1996: No.8 Dispersed Site associated with WWII airfield; no longer extant.<1><2> Aerial photographs <3><4>.
2006: An Air Ministry plan of Boxted Airfield and its Dispersed Sites, dated November 1944, shows Dispersed Site No. 8 standing in fields north of Flood Lane, south of Salary Brook. It comprised 46 buildings and other structures. The site is now a rough meadow between Flood Lane and the A12 road.<5>
