Full Description

An evaluation comprising 4 machine dug trenches revealed evidence of Roman and post med features. <1>. The latter features were characterised by the presence of peg- tile inclusions rather than other types of more closely dateable artefacts. Evidence of later building and other activity at the atreet frontage was provided by a wall foundation, pits and further west a brick building. (the latter indicates that later activity was not limited to the street frontage). <1>.
