Full Description

Detector finds: Two groats - middle Saxon one 700-710AD the other 710-725AD. Copper alloy disc shaped mount with concave back. The front has a finely cast head and upper body of a male fgure in classical/byzantine? dress. This is probably Late Saxon to Early Medieval referred to British Museum for further information.
