Full Description

Late C17 timber framed range of two builds.<1>

An historic analysis at Historic England Level 2 was carried out by Leigh Alston in December 2019 to inform and accompany an application for Listed Building Consent. The building consists of an early- to mid-18th century structure on the right (south) with an early-19th century gambrel-roofed extension to the left. A rear lean-to addition was largely rebuilt in the late-20th century. The earlier of the two main phases is an unusual structure that appears to have contained only one large room on each of its two floors initially, with a stair to the rear and no evidence of heating.<2>
