Full Description

17th century house.

DOE survey of No 187 Lexden Road (North Side). Grade II. C17 origin, considerably restored. Two storeys and attics, timber-framed and plastered, the roof tiled. Gable at the west end of front. The upper storey projects on the front. Modern diamond lattice casement windows.<1>

Weaver (no 187), perhaps formerly the Angel Inn, has a late medieval cross wing. The rest of the house was rebuilt in the early 17th century with a continuous jetty was under built, probably in the early 19th century.<2>
