Full Description

17th or 18th century house now demolished. RCHME gives 18th century date however ?17th century wallpaper is noted in the Museum Accession register.

RCHME survey. No 28-30 High Street, House of three storeys with attics partly timber-framed and plastered and partly of brick; the roofs are tiled. It was built early in the 18th century and has a modillioned eaves- cornice to part of the front. Inside the building is part of an early 18th century staircase with close string and twisted balusters.<1>
