Full Description

The feature, aligned ENE to WSW, was only partially defined, and extended to the north of Trench 1 (c.0.60m wide min. x c.0.40m deep, with steep sides). The feature was defined cutting the natural sand and gravel, sealed below topsoil L1 and made ground L2, and 440mm below the modern ground surface. No finds were contained in the excavated segment of the feature.
F1 was interpreted as a possible robber trench representing the robbed-out south wall foundation of the walled cemetery. <1>
