Full Description

Only part of the feature was excavated as it extended beyond the southern and western limits of the trench. It was a minimum 0.55m wide x 0.42m deep. The single fill 04 consisted of greyish-brown sandy silt with occasional medium- and small-sized flint gravel. No finds were recovered and the fill had probably accumulated through natural silting. Because of disturbance and possible contamination from car park construction on the south side of the feature, it was not sampled for environmental remains.<1>
