Full Description
One straight-sided square or rectangular pit was uncovered which may be a possible inhumation burial. Unfortunately, no human bone survived but a previous evaluation on the site uncovered a Roman inhumation (MCC3018). Finds from this pit included Roman pottery and tile and animal bone, as well as an earlier Neolithic flint arrowhead. Part of a Roman jar was uncovered which may represent a displaced urn from a cremation burial.<1>
