RCHME Survey of house on Priory Street. (In 1922 a Convent School), located on the east side of the road at the south corner of Chidwell Alley. The house 'is of an L shaped plan with the wings extending towards the West and South. The west wing was extended late in the 17th century. Both sides of the South wing and the South side of the west wing have projecting gables with original shaped brackets and moulded bressumers; below the southern gable on the East front are remains of a former bay-window and the wall-face has pargeted panels of flowers or foliage, but now much damaged. The later extension has mullioned and transomed windows. Inside the building is an early 16th century fascia, reused and carved with running foliage' <1>
