Full Description

Two silver Roman coins were recovered from dark earth in Castle Park; one from Test pit 3 and another from Test pit 4, possibly part a dispersed hoard in the area. Both are denarii, one of Tiberius dated to AD 26-37 and the other of Antoninus Pius, dated AD 147-8.<1>
