Full Description
An early sequence of Roman street metalling at the junction of Insulae 3, 4, 11 and 12 was revealed by trial excavations at 14 and 15 West Stockwell Street. Elsewhere on the site Roman levels were found to have been removed by later pits and terracing activity.<1>
