Full Description

Two Roman vessels including large grey urn form 272 (no bones) found when building a house for Captain Worley on the east side of St Clare Road, in summer 1954, almost on the spot where the 1923 OS marks 'Celtic amphora found'. The vessels were apparently retained by Captain Worley.<1>
