Full Description

A NNW-SSE orientated Roman foundations [F5] at the eastern end of the Trench 1. Beneath the uppermost fragmented 20cm the intact top of the 80cm wide foundation was construction of approximately 70% reddish yellow slightly shelly mortar with septaria and Kentish ragstone fragments varying in size from 2 to 15cm.<1>
