Full Description

A Roman wall discovered during excavations in Castle Park between 1928/9. The remains of the wall were encountered at a depth of 2 ft and proved to be part of an L-shaped fragment, situated to the south-west of a tessellated pavement (MCC2391). The wall was of septaria; about 2ft. thick and roughly built standing directly on the subsoil.<1>
