Full Description

A timber-lined drain AF43, aligned E to W, was defined along the north side of Building 179, reusing AF62 (large foundation) as a base. The drain had a clay base and small oak tree-trunks to form the sides and lid. The drain was phased to Period 3b, c.1500-c.1650.<1>
