Roman Road south from St Botolph's Gate?

Road metalling was observed on the west side of St Botolph's Street, opposite the Marlborough Head, by Mr Rudsdale.<1>

Road metalling was observed by Mr Rudsdale 50 yards south of the Malborough Head on St Botolph's Street.<2>
