Civil War circumvallation at Sheepen between Colonel Ewer's Leaguer and Ingolesby Fort, part of Parliamentarian siege works from 1648.<1> Possibly took the form of a shallow ditch and bank, this may have been encountered at the Sheepen excavations in trench A4.<2><3>
