Full Description
In 1927, a small extension was made to the west side of the cellar of Messrs Curry's shop in High Street (No's 45-46), next east of the 'Red Lion'. A large deposit of pottery was found.<1>
Unpublished excavation by Mark Davies of a Roman pottery shop including Boudican destruction layers.<1> (See also ECC1866) Finds include Thetford-type ware.<2>
