Full Description

Three areas of tessellated pavement in close proximity to each other and probably representing a single paved floor were discovered during excavations by Mr. C.A. Winkles in 1939 or earlier (ECC954). The pavement is close to another pavement, MCC881 discovered in 1920 (ECC956) but the two appear to have been separated by a north-south wall (MCC2152) if they were in fact contemporary.<1><2>
