Full Description

Anglo-Saxon grave goods found with human remains outside north-east corner of town wall circuit. Cruciform Brooch, bronze length 6.7cm square head plate with grooved sides and incised diagonal cross. One knob is cast with the brooch the other two are attached. The foot terminates in a dualised horses head prominently modelled, Pin missing; Two bronze rings (a) diameter 2cm of flattened diamond sections (b) similar diameter 2.1cm worn; Fragment of a curled brooch spring.<1>
