Full Description

A decorated pavement was found on the south side of the Red Lion Inn, when part of it was converted into an iron warehouse.<1> Laver & Wheeler assume that this is the same black and white pavement notes by Wire.<2> The position is half way between High Street and Culver Street.<3>

Labourers laying a drain in the Red Lion yard found a pavement of small white tesserae.<4><5>
