Full Description

A large piece of masonry was recorded outside 5 Museum Street. This was up to 1.2m north-south and 0.8m east-west, and was constructed of reused Roman building materials. There were a number of well defined faces to the north and east, suggesting the edge of a building, perhaps a jamb of a gate or door. The site is approximate to the local of the 'Dunbar Gate'. <1><2>
