Full Description

Late Neolithic knife, found by E. Purdy. Fine bifacially worked blade of mottled grey flint. Length 11.5cm, width 2.0cm, thickness 0.5cm. All purpose tool generally called a skinning knife. Found 12cm below the surface while clearing the ground for building. Given to Colchester Museum (no Acc. no recorded) Photo held in Essex SMR.<1> The SMR report is dated 1982 but no find date is recorded.
