Grave group 560.

In Wire's diary he notes, 'Several Roman funeral urns containing calcined bones were found opposite the barn, in a grave or pit apparently dug for the purpose but they were broken to pieces by the weight of the superincumbent earth...The workmen informed me that in the pit was a great quantity of charcoal'.<1><2>
