RCHME survey of 26-29 North Hill. House of 'four tenements and shops (26-29 North Hill)...built late in the 15th or early in the 16th century, but has been much altered. The upper storey projects on most of the W front. Inside the building is an original doorway with a four-centred' <1>

DOE survey of No's 26 to 29 North Hill. Grade II. Late C15 origin, considerably altered. Two storeys, timber-framed and plastered (some modern timber-framing and rough-cast plaster) the roofs tiled. Gable at south end of front on No 27. 5 window range on 1st floor, all leaded lattice casements. Modern shop fronts below. <2>
