Full Description

During excavations at St Mary's Rectory in 1967 (ECC661), various features were recorded in addition to the main structures and streets. The earliest of these were four pits and two stake holes which probably dated to the Roman fortress. Also located was a gravel path associated with a building (MCC1642) and a pit containing pottery dating up to AD.120 which was dug into the building.<1>
