Full Description

A north - south Roman street situated along the west edge of Insula 25a. The street was sealed by the town rampart (MCC1170) but overlay a levelling layer of the town wall foundation trench, that had sealed an earlier street in the same position (MCC1637). The street stopped short of the town wall by only 4 feet. A gully on the west edge of the street had become completely silted up before the rampart was constructed.<1>
