Full Description

DOE survey of No's 73A & 73B High Street. C17 building, refronted in brick late in C18 and with modern alterations to ground floor. Three storeys and cellars (with heavy ceiling beams), the front finished with a coping which has 3 hipped gables behind it. Three window range of double hung sashes with glazing bars.<1>

RCHME survey of house and shop, 20 yards east of No 72 high Street. The house 'is of three storeys, timber framed and plastered; the roofs are tiled. It was built probably early in the 17th century but was refronted in brick late in the 18th century. At the back is an 18th century addition with a staircase having twisted balusters and square newels. The cellars have heavy ceiling beams and some of the ceiling beams are exposed in the main block. Condition Good'.<2>
