Full Description

During work on the railway cutting near Turner Rise William Wire recorded, 'A large size amphora was found containing a cinerary urn with calcined bones with a lid....There were several urns nearby containing calcined bones'.<1><2><3> The reference is from Wire's Album which has not been located.
