Full Description

A large collection of pottery fragments were recovered from Queens Road in 1933. A handwritten note in the paper SMR records that the pottery was 'fairly homogenous, bugenous, all broken unusually evenly small. Looks more like refuse from a place where form 268 was made than the debris from a cemetery'.<1> This event does not appear to be recorded in Hull's 'Roman Colchester'.
