Full Description

Pottery found while cutting the trench for the main drains on the former Lexden Glebe field (The same in which Acland Ave is now in) by Mr Brown's men in 1934, collected 26/3/1934. This find spot does not appear to be recorded in Hull's Roman Colchester. Over one hundred fragments of Native and Roman wares. Detailed breakdown provided on hand written note held in Colchester Museums paper SMR. <1>
