Full Description

Medieval building identified during the excavations at Long Wyre Street, 1979. The structural traces of this building were very patchy and limited principally to a wide scatter of over 30 stake holes cutting into the cultivated soil from the 11th-14th centuries, part of a peg-tile hearth or surface-built oven, some cess pits, and a small fragments of a possible plinth. <1>
