Full Description
A Roman building identified during the excavations at Long Wyre Street, 1979. The small part of the building that could be inspected made little sense in terms of recognisable rooms or passages. Of the four 'rooms' examined, all had tessellated pavements. The foundation of the frontage wall of the building and perhaps at least one of its internal walls had been robbed in early medieval times. (Please refer to report for full description).<1>
