Full Description

Hull records, ' On 22nd October 1959 Mr B.J.N. Edwards reported to the Museum that digging in a garden to the west of North Hill had disclosed a Roman Wall. Much of the digging had been done by Edwards with assistance from others. The garden is a 20ft wide strip belonging to, and behind the house of, Mr Frost, the dentist. The garden backs onto the land of the Gilberd Technical School. There is no apparent connection between this wall and the large building below the school. The top of the wall has been robbed away and the present top level is about 5ft 6" below the ground level.' A site plan and section is affixed to Hull's notebook.<1>
