Full Description
Laver notes in his diary that in 1929 a Roman pavement had been found under the modern path and street opposite the Victoria Inn, and shows the area of this covering the end of the lane and extending about the width of the lane further, both north and south of it.<1><2>
This was apparently observed again by Hull in 1952.<3>
