Full Description
FLG 7/8 (same design as building FLG 5/6) was originally built as accommodation for the Garrison's commanding officers. This is a 3-storey building of yellow stock Flemish bonded brick which faces onto Napier Road. The S elevation is elaborately decorated whilst the other elevations are plain. When the building assessment was carried out in 2000, the panelled entrance doors and twelve sash windows were original. The interior contained original shutters and shutter boxes and some original fireplaces, cupboards and pannelled doors remain. Although converted for office use the building was in good condition and remained relatively intact.<1>
The building has been retained and converted to residential, although the east extension (over the line of the Roman Circus cavea) has been removed.
