Description

Survey of No's 16 & 17 East Hill. The house 'was built early in the 16th century and has an early 17th century wing at the back. The upper storey projects in front and has one original curved bracket and a late 16th century shaped bracket. There is one late 16th century window, on the ground floor, with moulded frame and mullion and five similar windows under the eaves, all now blocked. At the east end is a late 16th century door of square moulded panels with a lozenge-shaped enrichment in each panel. The timber-framing is exposed in front'.<1>
