Description

RCHME survey of 53 & 54 West Stockwell Street, Colchester. 'Two tenements and shop, was built in the 15th century with cross wings at the N and S ends. The N cross wing was rebuilt in the 17th century. The upper storey projects at the E ends of the cross wings on curved brackets. Inside the building are original cambered tie-beams and wall posts'. <1>
