Description

Survey by RCHME of 34 High Street. The building is 'of two storeys with attics, partly timber-framed and plastered and partly medieval but the house was rebuilt early in the 18th century and has modillioned eaves-cornices both in front and behind. Inside the building the cellar has rubble walls and a lamp-niche in the S-wall; incorporated in the E wall is a section of Roman walling. In the shop is some re-used late 16th century panelling. Condition - Good'.<1> (Now demolished)
