Description

DOE survey of No's 108 & 109 High Street. Grade II. (now delisted or demolished). C16 origin, but largely remodelled c1700 and later. Three storeys, timber framed & plastered, the roofs tiled. The upper storey projected on the E & S sides but has been under built on the S side, heavy curved angle bracket. Ground floor large shop premises. Formal? and rich interior, of which a fine plaster ceiling, early C18, remains in the S room of the 1st floor. <1>
